Option in Annapurna Region Nepal: i)Annapurna
Basecamp ii) Annapurna Sanctuary iii) Annapurna Circuit
Annapurna Circuit Trek: The
classic trek in the Annapurna region is definitely the Annapurna circuit. The
complete circuit has only been possible since 1980s when the Manang area was authoritatively
opened to foreigners. For an all-round experience of the scenery and cultures
of Nepal, this trek has a lot of attraction. During the winter season, orange
trees are laden with fruit and fragrant frangipani blossoms caste their sent along
the trail. As you travel higher, the valley becomes more rugged until the village
and forests finally way the arid hills of Manang. This is challenging trek that
is not without some risks. The crossing over Thorong La can be dangerous at times,
especially during the unanticipated snowfall. Therefore, trekkers must have to
make sure that they are well prepared.

Circuit Trek (5416m.) Trek grading: Difficult
Few places in the world have such a splendid variety of natural beauty as the
Annapurna region. It is a rare combination of long arrays of snow- capped peaks,
crystal clear lakes, turbulent rivers with deep gorges, Tibetan monasteries, hot
springs, rhododendron forest (flower blooms from beginning of March) and picturesque
villages inhabited by simple and friendly ethnic people. | THE
ANNAPUPRNA CIRCLE Annapurna Circuit is truly an extraordinary part
of Nepal. The trek takes you from 1,500 ft/400 m to 18,000 feet/5,400 m and back.
While on this trek you will meet ten different ethnic groups and pass through
four different climate zones. This trek starts from the small hillside town
of Besisahar. The route then follows the entire length of the gorge up to Dharapani
while exploring forests and villages and watching the mighty river cascading down
the mountain. Beyond Dharapani you will finally enter the Himalayan valley. This
part of your trek is one of the most beautiful; both sides of the path are watched
over by snow-clad mountains. The southern part reveals the Annapurna range while
at the north you can see the Manaslu range and the Manang valley nestles between
the giants. At Manang you will have a day of rest and to get acclimatized to higher
altitudes. This area is populated with Gurung people, a small community of Nepal
by size of population. The next two days are challenging because of the crossing
of Thorong La (5416m. /17760ft). The hard climb is rewarded with the welcoming
temple of Muktinath (3843m). The descent starts beyond this point as you walk
back down towards the Kaligandaki River and back up to the hot springs at Tatopani.
A day of rest is in order at this amazing natural wonder. Another two days are
required to reach Ghorepani (2834m. / 9295ft.). From here you will descend all
the way down to Birethanti where our trek ends and continues to the serene lakeside
town of Pokhara. OUTLINE ITINERAR
